Yes, I'm trying for 5.8.1. I've got a useful VMS account and I'm working
on it right now. I just finally overhauled tools_other(). Small problem
with NOECHO and NOOP not being defined. Oops. Lemme upload a slightly
more useful snapshot.
If you could figure the newline escaping I mentioned on vmsperl that
would be really useful.
