Nope.  OS/8 was for PDP-8 based word processors (DECmate).  P/OS was 
RSX-11 with a menuing interface, and CP/M (Control Program for Microprocessors,
if memory serves) had been out for years when those DEC Professionals hit 
the market.

Maybe CP/M was suggested by OS/8, but I never used OS/8, and I did mess with
RT, and those had a pretty similar interface.
