Nope. OS/8 was for PDP-8 based word processors (DECmate). P/OS was RSX-11 with a menuing interface, and CP/M (Control Program for Microprocessors, if memory serves) had been out for years when those DEC Professionals hit the market. Maybe CP/M was suggested by OS/8, but I never used OS/8, and I did mess with RT, and those had a pretty similar interface. -- Alan =============================================================================== Alan Winston --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Disclaimer: I speak only for myself, not SLAC or SSRL Phone: 650/926-3056 Paper mail to: SSRL -- SLAC BIN 99, 2575 Sand Hill Rd, Menlo Park CA 94025 ===============================================================================
