I wasn't speaking of the conversion of unix to vms rather the lexical
VMS ODS-5 style of DISK$ODS5:[foo^.bar.buz] to the unixish
style /DISK$ODS5/foo^.bar/buz/ with ^. preserved. Does that make sense?
We might as well discuss and flesh it out for bleedperl consideration.
