That confirms that the version of MMK you are using has the same
problem as 3.9-9.  Please verify that 3.9-10 is really what you've
got with

$ mmk/ident

If 3.9-10 is indeed what you've got, then we need to give Matt
Madison another heads up as this was the bug that version was
supposed to fix.

In any case, this is not a Perl problem but an MMK problem.  Get
something older than 3.9-9 (3.9-6 works fine) or try MMS if you've
got it.
