2. get the new real_name or realpath routines in VMS/Filespec to be used for calculating the absolute paths in CWD.pm.
3. Get tests to verify the behavior of abs_path() when given non-exitant file names.
I am still fighting with GNU tar 1.19. I only have to get the compression/decompression working, and find out why it is outputing an extra blank line. It is working with files up to 8Gb (the largest I had room to test).
