Although I did not try it, I think Mindterm applet could be used exactly in
the situation you are talking about. If the severely restricted web browser
allows browsing, then you could download the Mindterm SSH applet from your
web site, set it (the Mindterm) to use the http proxy for ssh connection,
make a ssh login to your vnc server with local ports 5800 and 5900
forwarded. Then browse to localhost:5800 and download the vnc applet, direct
it to 127.0.0.1:0 and you are done.

You would sign the Mindterm applet and would put it signed on your web site
for downloading from anywhere. You don't need to know anything about signing
when you download it. It has to do with java security.

If someone knows how to sign an applet, I would like to try it, just for
fun.
