I am the network admin here at work, and its going to a hosting facility. I will say thier are VIP's at the hosting facility and 3 checkpoint firewalls that the connection I make goes through. I would guess the problem lies with the hosting facility as I have had problems with them before. and sometimes I cant reconnected as vncviewer just sits there in my process task list never coming up.

Then, out of nowwhere, the connection is closed and you can just reconnect and all appears to be normal, except for the closed connection? If so, then it is sure to be a network related problem. IT's a wild guess but I think somewhere on the line a connection is dropped and vnc misses a handshake and drops too. Is this a steady network or is it an internet connection? Check with your network admin.
