That's your problem - you are running VNC in App mode. In the Start menu entries for VNC you should see two entries to Install VNC service and Start VNC service. Make sure you are logged in as an Administrator when you do this. It should ask you for a password at this stage, and this is the password you use to log in when you run the viewer on another machine. In future VNC will start when the machine does.
