I had same problem with one of client and at in my home office. I had to play with the MTU on the Linksys router and change it to 1492 to get this working at home. And for my client's office, the ISP asked me to change the MTU 1006 (less than what is recommended by Linsys). But this just to get the connection to ISP to work. Anyway, with this MTU setup the VNC worked as well. Now I have 1492 at home that I can reach my VNC server. And 1006 for my client to get him on the Internet and for his VNC. The problem after putting in the password is solved.
I am also using "ddns2go" at home on my other cable line. Works good.
