I will describe what I have here in my home/basement/office and see if you
can make this happen for you.

I have a cable Internet connection and xDSL Internet connection. xDSL has
static WAN IP. Cable has dynamic IP. I use two Linksys BEFVP41 routers.
The xDSL side has subnet 192.168.1.x and Cable side has 192.168.100.x. The
routers enabled me to do VPN. That is one way I use the VNC to talk to
systems on thsese two networks using their local IP addresses.

Another thing I do is (just because I have to support some customers) use
the DDNS service from dns2go and DynDNS (does not have to be two different
service providers). I have registerd one PC on each side and I use that
registered name (ex: david.dns2go.com and david98.dnslalias.com + the port
numbers) to get to these VNC computers. Working fine.

Now, using this method in between your two computers and some port
forwarding on your existing router may help your situation. My set up is
not like your's but I think, this may be something like this spark some
other ideas or be useful to someone. That is all.

Is it too much?

David
