What is the color depth of you solaris box.
Even with a 32 Mb card you stil have to manual install the colordepth.

xdpyinfo (from a command or xterm tell you the colordepth of your
graphical environment) or check the video card manual.

Subject:        VNC Client

To vnc-list members,

I have downloaded the vnc server and clients for NT2K and solaris 2.5.
I was successful in loading and using the product on the NT machines;
however, not successful on the solaris workstation. My goal is to use
the client on my solaris machine to access and control my NT machines.
Let me clarify the issues. I was able to load and use the client on my
solaris machine. However, the video colors are not coming out
correclty. It has a dark purple color to it instead of the robust
windows colors that one would expect to see when logging onto a windows
workstation. I'm using a Sun Blade 100 workstation that has a built in
32 meg video card, and running solaris version 9. Furthermore, I have
not been successful in compiling the source code using gcc version 3.1.

Any suggestions or help on my problem?

Regards,

Robert Shannon
