Dear List,

Friend of mine is a novice PC user who needs needs help once in a while.
I'd like to give him this support via acessing his PC from my PC.

My friend's PC is running WIN XP, my PC is running WIN 95.

I've already tried establishing remote access via Netmeeting/Remote Desktop
Sharing, but that doesn't work for some reason - we couldn't get a connection
established.

We've also experimented with RAdmin (famatec) which works fine - except when
the server is running WIN XP (XP supposedly has a firewall that doesn't allow
for remote access other than Window means?).

Now I'm looking for alternatives, e.g. VNC.

Question:

As I'm not a technical specialist we need a software that is easy to use for
both parties.
Do you think VNC is suited for what we need?
Do you expect any problems if the server-side is running WIN-XP?
Do you know of any products that might be better suited for me?

TIA
Gabriele
