Yes, we see this occasionally on VNC on Win2K.  The only way I've found to resolve the 
issue is to restart the VNCserver service on the server.  It seems to work fine after 
this.  I don't know what causes it in the first place though.

Hi I have a problem with VNC v3.3.3 R9 server running on a Windows 2000
workstation. The client connects and after the password challenge the
screen window shows the remote machine, then immediately disconnects.
Strangely I noticed that if the show default settings window is
displayed on the server then the clients can connect okay. I have tried
re-installing the server as both an application and a service. Anyone
seen this before ?
I have other 2000 machines which work fine.
