Hi, This is a problem that exists in all the VNC distributions, including RealVNC 3.3.4. I haven't been able to solve it. When Xvnc is used on Solaris in 16-bit or 24-bit depths the server dumps core shortly after the user logs in. It is triggered when running a high-color application like Netscape or an image viewer (or even having a high-color desktop image).
Here is a stack trace of a typical core file: #0 0xff1c1e7c in _malloc_unlocked () from /usr/lib/libc.so.1 #1 0xff1c1c2c in malloc () from /usr/lib/libc.so.1 #2 0x63e80 in Xalloc () #3 0x3ec6c in AllocatePixmap () #4 0xfe6a0 in cfb32CreatePixmap () #5 0x48184 in ProcCreatePixmap () #6 0x46544 in Dispatch () #7 0x347d8 in main () Thanks in advance for any advice, Kris _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
