We will look at adding a port specification mechanism in the next release.

VNC performance is complex to characterise, when you consider there is
likely to be:

2 processors
2 operating systems
2 graphics sub-systems
2 network interfaces
1 network (routers...)
2 lumps of application code
several protocols
a variety of compression schemes

Sometimes, I'm amazed anything works at all...
