Only helpful if you're using a Windows PC to run the viewer, but I use VNC
Commander free from http://www.amsoftwaredesign.com/ to manage a list of
connections; works well enough for me.

* add a scheme for saving and managing a list of servers to connect to in
the viewer. It only stores the last 5 or 6 but unfortunately I maintain
about 10 machines with VNC... and the list will be growing soon!

Currently I have a text file with all my hosts, IP's and machine names - I
have to cut and paste into the viewer when a particular one is dropped from
the viewer...

* an option to pop up a small message when VNC connects to a machine. Often
there are users on the machines and they never notice the icon lighting up.
I then have to wrestle the mouse from them! Sometimes I open notepad or type
a quick message in the document they are working on to let them know that I
need to usurp control for a minute...

my 2 cents!

George
