I've been using Richard Harris' excellent Fastpush script
(http://www.darkage.co.uk) to punt VNC out to some remote Windows NT
machines at work with, so far, no problems until today.
The flavour of VNC I've been deploying is TightVNC 1.26. I've been
deploying it to two specific machines and removing it again once I've
finished remotely controlling them.
Last week, yesterday and this morning all was working just fine. This
afternoon I can connect to the two remote machines with the TightVNC
viewer but can only view what's going on. I can't interact with the
machines at all. Even Send CTRL+ALT+DEL has no effect.
Stripping out and reinstalling VNC (via the script) has no effect,
either. Upon reconnection I'm still limited to just viewing what's at
the other end.
I doubt very much that the Fastpush script is causing the problem. I
suspect the problem is with TightVNC, either at my end with the viewer
or at the other end with the server, yet I'm at a loss to work out what.
The script I used today is the same as it was when I used it yesterday,
and last week. I've not changed it beyond my original modifications
(setting the environment variables).
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
