Hi Shaun,

The user directory that will be used for VNC has a subdirectory named .vnc.
Within that directory is a file called xstartup. The default setting in that
file is tvm. That would probably explain why you are getting that grey desk-
top. To have KDE be the default desktop, remove the tvm reference and re-
place it with startkde. Be sure to leave the "&" symbol in place. You can
then start and then restart the VNC server and subsequently have the KDE
desktop appear. Let me know what happens.

Subject: Configuring VNC

Okay I need help with my script files for RealVNC. I have it installed on
Mandrake 9.0 and currently I get the grey Xserver desktop. What I want to
know is how to get my default KDE desktop to load and what files do I need
to configure? Reading the docs has made me very confused so pointing me to
MAN pages won't help as I already read them.
