I am running VNC 3.3.6.

The server is on a HP Athalon, 384MB ram, Win98SE box,
ZoneAlarm is the firewall and VNC is allowed. The VNC
icon appeard in the system tray. When the cursor
hovers over the icon an IP address is displayed. The
internet connection is Roadrunner, Motorola Surfboard
cable modem.

The viewer is on a Toshiba, PIII, 256MB ram, Win2K
Pro. ZoneAlarm firewall.

When I try to connect I get the Failed to Connect To
Server error. If I ping the server from the laptop, I
get 100% loss. . .

I can successfully ping other sites and addresses.

Why won't VNC ping or connect?
