How very interesting. I run lots of DOS programs from DOS prompts under Win95 on my wife's laptop and none of them go full-screen, just as you say that your program's usual behavior is. The question is "what is making the DOS window go to full-screen mode?" it seems... It was quite interesting to hit Alt-Enter and then watch the repainting be absolutely terrible as it happily displayed nothing :-) Another one fixed things, of course.
