Concerning my earlier query, I have now found the solution It seems that (as some of you suggested) that when I type the program name remotely at the prompt in the DOS box, as soon as I hit enter the remote side DOS box DOES switch itself to full screen, though this is not visible to me at the viewer end. This seems to me to be a glitch in RealVNC because the remote DOS box is set to be a window, and it never switches to full screen when the program is started locally.
However the work-around is easy because the remote end responds if I type alt-enter (blindly -I can no longer see the remote end) -the remote end becomes a DOS window again and I can then see it and carry on starting up the program within further problems. Perhaps this unrequested and unwanted switch to whole screen could be fixed in later versions?
