Looks like almost everything is in place. It is not enough to just open up
port 5900-5909. What about port forwarding on the Linksys????

Your PC's can all be set to run their servers on port 5900 but you need to
configure Linksys to forward inbound ports on the public address to VNC
ports on your LANs private addresses.

Let's assume  Home Desk 1 I.P. = 192.168.0.1
              Home Desk 2 I.P. = 192.168.0.2
              Home Lap 1 I.P.  = 192.168.0.3

On Linksys forward port 5901 --> 192.168.0.1 port 5900
                        5902 --> 192.168.0.2 port 5900
                        5903 --> 192.168.0.3 port 5900

Now when you attempt to connect from work, specifying each of the ports will
connect you to the respective machine's port 5900.

Your internal problem sounds like you are trying to connect from the laptop
with the external I.P. address which is sending your packets to router hell.
If the laptop is on the same subnet (i.e., 192.168.0) then the respective
connections 192.168.0.1:0 and 192.168.0.2:0 should work. The only other
reason I can think of that are not is that you are running XP and have not
disabled it's little internal firewall. Good Luck, Glenn
