Diane,
you mean you do some application tests via tools like mercury winrunner,
rational robot & co VIA vnc or do you just remote control the PCs which are
running the apps and the test-software ?
If the first variant is the case - I didn`t know, that such thing works
through a "dumb" remote-control software.Since vnc for windows has many problems
regarding refreshing the right screen areas(especially java apps) I really
would wonder, if you can use that for automated testing. (for more reliable
screen refresh see www.ultravnc.com)

If it`s the latter(just remote controlling) , then you shouldn`t have ANY
problem - because remote control via vnc is just as sitting in front of the
screen.
