What I am saying is, from what you said, is that when you connect via vnc you want to enter the IP address not name. Because I could have 2 pc's out there on the net that I want to connect to and they could have the same name and port number which vnc would have a problem figuring out which one I want to connect too, but if I put in the IP address there is no question who I want to connect to. That IP is the only one for that pc being used at that time. Am I correct?

No it is not possible. That's what domain registrars are for. In order for your name to be recognized in the Internet's DNS system it must be registered and unique. The Internet actually runs on IP address, not names, and those IP addresses are unique in that only one machine at a time can have a given IP address. This is basic TCP/IP info. _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
