What I am saying is, from what you said, is that when you connect via vnc you
want to enter the IP address not name. Because I could have 2 pc's out there
on the net that I want to connect to and they could have the same name and
port number which vnc would have a problem figuring out which one I want to
connect too, but if I put in the IP address there is no question who I want to
connect to. That IP is the only one for that pc being used at that time. Am I
correct?

No it is not possible.  That's what domain registrars are for.  In order
for your name to be recognized in the Internet's DNS system it must be
registered and unique.

The Internet actually runs on IP address, not names, and those IP
addresses are unique in that only one machine at a time can have a given
IP address.  This is basic TCP/IP info.
