Wouldn't it be easier to just link to the FSF's definition of "Free software"? http://www.fsf.org/philosophy/free-sw.html And not to start a flame war, I don't know why you single out Red Hat users, since Red Hat releases all it's in-house code as GPL and has in the past stopped distributing packages that are not "Free software" (mp3 players as an example).
