I am trying not to use a 3rd party application. Its part of my project
contrain :(

That's fine! As long as I hear something on the client side I am happy.

I am not echoing "^G" or 0x8 to the screen. I am using a bell command that
comes with Tcl/Tk. But I would imagine it does the same thing.

But I will still try to print a "CR Char" after my bells.

Intresting to know this. I will what I could do with the protocol.

Hahaha, That's funny! I will ask the customer if that is an option :)
Actually, this project I am working on requires both visual and audio alarms.
I got the visual part and I am stuck with the Audio. I will keep looking for
answers. I hope I will find an answer soon.

Thanks for your helps and if you do find anything, please keep me informed!
