Hi Everyone,

I am trying to set-up a VNC Connection FROM my home computer (PC1) TO my
office computer (PC3). I AM able to VNC FROM my office (PC3) TO either of my
home computers (PC1 or PC2).

The Configuration:
------------
-- PC1 -- (192.168.X.X:1) - (NT WRKSTAT V4.0 SP6)
------------
          --
------------------
            ------------------------ -----------------------------
-- --
            -- D-LINK RTR -- + -- DSL (141.X.X.X) -- + -- WWW --
            ------------------------ ----------------------------
-- --
          --
-----------------
------------
---------
-- PC2 -- (192.168.X.X:2) - (Win98 2nd Edt) ------
------------
---

          -

 ------------------- ------------

 -- Ofc RTR --     +   -- PC3 --   ( NT Wrkst V4.0 SP5.;

 ------------------ ------------ Priv. IP 172.X.X.X,

                                              Ext. IP: 151.X.X.X )

Symptoms:
1. When attempting a VNC connecting from home (PC1) to the office (PC3), I
get the "Failed to Connect to Server" message.
2. From my home office LAN, I cannot PING PC3's External IP: 151.X.X.X
while it's IN USE by PC3 - ALL PACKETS ARE LOSS. When not in use, I get a
positive PING reply.
2. From INSIDE the office at PC3, I cannot VNC (loopback) to PC3 using it's
External IP Address: 151.X.X.X . I can VNC (loopback) from PC3 to PC3 using
it's Private IP (172.X.X.X).

Summary:
1. All of the PCs have the VNC Server running as a Service.
2. VNC'g FROM Office to Home Office works great!
3. Office PC able to perform "Loopback Connection" using it's Private IP ONLY.
Not using External (Real World) IP.
4. Office PC3 running NT Workstation v4.0 SP5.
5. Office PC3 is a Novel Netware Client.
6. When performing a "mouse-over" of the VNC server icon on PC3, only the
Private IP address shows.
7. Both Offices (Home and Work) are using DHCP (w/ standard term lease
times).

Please help. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Much...
Chanda
