I will add something to the documentation. The format is supposed to be vncviewer -log <source>:<dest>:<level>
<dest> must be 'stderr' at the moment on unix, and <level> is between 0 and 100, 100 meaning most verbose output. <source> is usually * meaning all, but you can target a specific source file if you know the name of its "LogWriter". Tim definitely wins the "Beta Tester of the Week" award :-) Cheers Tristan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim Waugh" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, August 05, 2003 4:14 PM Subject: 4.0b3 and -log > Having just tried to use vncviewer's -log parameter just now, I can > vouch for the fact that some documentation would have been nice. :-) > > I'm still not sure I understand how it works, but > > vncviewer -log '*:stderr:0' ... > > seems to turn off most messages. > > Tim. > */ > > [demime 0.99d.1 removed an attachment of type application/pgp-signature] > _______________________________________________ > VNC-List mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To remove yourself from the list visit: > http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
