I did this and it reported the IP address generated by someone or something -- probably either my ISP or the DSL modem/router -- and NOT this machine.

Still cannot connect to work machine from home.

Have Black Ice firewall running on the home machine.

Heya. Please try this too: startup a web-browser on your
VNC server, and point it to "www.GoToMyVNC.com", and run the scan
there. If it doesn't report success, then your server/firewall
isn't setup correctly.

Tried that, no response on all attempts - and same result with all firewalls shut off too!

Also, on your VNC server, check to see that a "AuthHosts"
option hasn't been set in the VNC registry. This might have been
set by your IT guys to allow you access only from a specific IP
address (eg, your home one) and for whatever reason, your home IP
address may have changed recently.

<rofl> Thanks for that suggestion, but I know the IT guys haven't changed anything...

...because *I* am the IT Guy! And I know I didn't change that.

But it's worth checking, in case...
