Warning: This answer DOES NOT aplies to Real 4 beta 3; but I think it's
needed as introduction to the special situation.
When you use windows' native multimonitor, if you connect you only get the
main screen.
BUT is an special situation that CAN help you...

The latest nVidia drivers (ATI also) have an special mode called 'vertical
extension' an another called 'horizontal extension'. That means: If you have
a dualhead nVida card (i.e.: my Toshiba Laptop => Internal TFT + External
CRT, both at 1024x768). If you enable 'horizontal extension', windows think
it's only one monitor but it's 2048x768!!
(I just tested this with both server and client UltraVNC RC1.09)

I have an AGP Geforce, i'd like to have also an PCI Geforce to test if this
feature can bring a desktop of 2048x1536 (four monitors). I remember that
nVidia claims full integration allowing fully use of several nVidia cards in
the same PC to gain functionality. But I haven't got way to test this.
(I do not have more info, sorry)

Off Topic: Anyone knows how to get several dualhead (2xCRT or CRT+TVout)
PCI Geforce's (any, but MX to be cheap ;-) ??
I'm Spanish and the only way is buying an expensive Creative FX5500; it's
the only geforce PCI available on all the stores I asked... :-(
Even PCI TNT2 can be helpful!

Yes, you are right; but some cards instead freezes the computer with
annoying beeps... be warned.

> Can VNC still see these monitor's desktop?

Short answer: NO
If no monitor, videocard DISABLE
If is disabled, no one can use, isn't vissible even thru VNC

This is ANOTHER subject! (see UltraVNC)

If you need an extended desktop WITHOUT physical monitor, you need to LIE to
the videocard; do you need a fake monitor plug. Contact me privately if you
need more info about how to make this plug.

I know. No way; I use everyday multimonitor at desktop and laptop. It's nice
and useful.
Only have one problem: 3 Flatron 19'' (or similar) EATS desktop space !!
;-)

I hope you find useful!
