Trying to get VNC to work through a firewall has done that to me, too, so
unfortunately I'm not much use.

I'd like to wish you and your wife the best of luck, though. One piece of
advice I can offer is: Don't agree to *anything* while she's in labour. My
wife was rolling her eyes, whimpering and moaning. She managed to gasp "If
it's a girl, can we call her 'Nina'?" (a name I wasn't too keen on, as my
cousin's called that). Feeling pathetic and useless, I said "Yes" whereupon
she sat up, smiled brightly and said "That's OK then." before taking a long
slug of tea then asking for the newspaper.

Best wishes,

Gareth

p.s. keep us informed as to what you get.
p.p.s. good luck with work, too
