Hello,

Not long ago, I asked how I could use Winvnc through a proxy at work. The vnc server
runs on my windows 98 pc at home, and I want to connect to it at work via vncviewer. I
go online through a proxyserver at work.

I was told two possibilities.
1. To connect via browser to port 5800 with the java interface. After I enter the
password I get the error:
java.net.NoRouteToHostException: Host Unreachable

2. To use the howto at http://www.benjamin.weiss.name/putty-tunnel.html and to make a
SSH tunnel.
I don't know what SSH is, but I tried step by step the instructions. It did not work.
The howto only describes how to setup putty at the client side. But don't I have to
run any SSH server program at home, too? (He wants to connect to port 22)
I did nowhere find a guide how to setup it.

Thanks for help!

Jens
