I am unable to get VNC Servers to add me as a client when I'm running in
Listening Viewer mode on my XP machine. I have had this option working in the
past, just last week actually, but no longer. I normally shut down my
firewall before starting Listening Viewer. I then obtain my internet IP
address from myipaddress.com and provide that to the person running VNC
Server. On none of the 6 or so Servers (running various Windows OS) that I
have tried can they connect to me or even ping my internet IP. I have
disabled Fast User Switching and the Welcome screen. I have seen instructions
to disable Remote Desktop as well, but am not sure how. But since other pc's
can not even ping my machine I'm not sure that is the problem
Any help would be appreciated.
