When I try to connect to my work machine from home using my web browser I get the java.io.EOFException error message after entering the password. When I try to connect using the viewer, the login page flashes briefly across the screen and dumps me back to the desktop. I have searched the archive and found mention of the problem but nothing describing a possible solution at a level I can understand (Newbie)!!
I am running Windows XP at home, connecting through a VPN tunnel into our corporate network, to my workstation running Windows 2000 Professional. I have been able to successfully connect from another machine running WINXP from within the network. That would lead me to think it's possibly related to a conflict with the VPN software however if that were the case then I'm not sure why I would get as far as the password screen. At this point I'm completely lost, any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
