All,

I'm running TightVNC 1.2.8 on RH 9. I've been having some apps crash and
take TightVNC and Gnome with them, necessitating a restart. I've done some
research, and I *think* that the problem lies with the way that the Xvnc
environment works with GTK in the handling of the fonts.

Does anybody know if the new 4.0x version of RealVNC works properly in this
situation? The last time I checked it out, the beta was having some
problems and messages on the list seemed to suggest that the move to 4.0beta
was non-trivial. I'd hate to put in that kind of work if it wouldn't fix
the problem.

Thanks!

Ben
