This has probably been hashed out but Google doesn't return many results.
One post from earlier this year was exactly identical but it received no
replies, I am hoping I can get some advise on my predicament...

When connecting to a Win2K system (professional), I get prompted for the Vnc
password, the screen then says "Please wait for screen refresh" or something
similar. Then, nothing happens. When a key is pressed on the remote
computer, a windows application error pops up (actually two,) that state the

instruction at 0x0000000 referenced memory at 0x0000000 the memory could not
be read

This is happening many times, but only reliably when I _really_ need to get
to the desktop of the remote system... :(

However, someone working on a box near a remote system I tried (and failed,)
to access pointed out that the "background was now blue instead of yellow",
meaning the background image had been removed.

Does anyone know if removing the background image causes the server side
application to fail? Is there a known bug on this? Might it be fixed in
the 4.0 beta?

Thanks for the time and any input on this!
