Hello,

I've looked for this in the list archives to no avail.

I am running XP Pro and have VNC registered as a service. Fast User Switching is not
on and neither is remote desktop.

The problem: On the system's initial bootup, I'll attempt to contact the VNC server.
I'll recieve the password prompt. I type in the correct password, but do not get in.
Instead, I recieve a dialogue box with an error (which, of course, escapes me at the
moment -- connection closed or authentication failed).

This ONLY occurs during initial bootup. Once I log a user into the system, I can then
use VNC without issue. I can, however, duplicate the same behavior by force-locking
the system with Window-L. If I set XP to lock the system when screensaver activates,
then I am still able to log into VNC.

Any thoughts?

Quick note: I have never run the Register VNC As System Service shortcut, I did,
however, check the register box during installation and VNC does load at Startup.

Cheers,

Mike Whalen
