Since you are using the web server within VNC (with SSH), you have to forward both the ports - 5800 and 5900

Here is a description of my set up: Computer 1: VNC Server listening on 5800/5900 Loopback connections Allowed Cygwin SSH server Computer 2: Putty forwarding port localhost:5801 to Computer1:5800 using SSH2 Heres what happens: Log into SSH - Everything works fine Open up browser and point to localhost:5801 - Everything is fine - get VNC console window. Enter password - "Connection Refused" This error is different to the Loopback Connections, Wrong Password and anti Hammer errors. Can someone please help! Oooh - and if it means anything - I have to shut down and then restart the VNC service once per boot to get it to work. Cheers, Alistair. _________________________________________________________________ Find a cheaper internet access deal - choose one to suit you. http://www.msn.co.uk/internetaccess _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
