VNC is not compatible with fast user switching. > plus I would > like to log in remotely as either the "administrator" or limited account > user, depending upon what I need to do. If you want to be able to log out and log in your only choice is to run VNC in service mode. Otherwise (in app mode) VNC will be killed when you log out. > Would it be better to run VNC as either a "service" or as a "server". I > see that the application port is 5900[+display#] and the server port is > 5800[+display#], I'm not sure what docs you are reading, but 5900+display is the RFB port (the port VNC clients connect to) and 5800+display is a simple HTTP server to serve the Java viewer. It doesn't matter if you are running VNC in service mode or app mode. -- William Hooper _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
