Well but the connection is stable when I connect via listening daemon, the network is a 10 Mbps. I do not suggest this to be the solution.

If viewer shuts down by itself, it could be a sign that the connection isn't stable, or passband isn't large enough.

Objet : Can only connect in listening mode

Hi,

well I installed RealVNC V. 3.3.7 on both the server (a Win 2000 PC) and
on my office pc (Win XP Pro). The problem is that I cannot connect to
the server by just using the Viewer. I type the IP:0 and I see the
desktop of the server for less than one second, afterwards the Viewer
shuts down. When I run the listening Viewer daemon I can add the
listening PC at the server and everything works fine. Anyone some
suggestions?

Thx in advance

Uwe
