If they want the video playing to be fluid, they shouldn't write data to video 
memory via the usual Windows API.  They have to write them more directly to video 
memory.  But as bus frequency is getting faster and faster, maybe in the future they 
can write programmes using a slower "path" through all the API while video playing is 
still acceptable.
