No idea if there's any project on multi-casting with VNC, but there's one 
solution for the time being:
Put VNC clients (ie in student computers) in listening mode.  Then from VNC server, 
you connect to them.  I don't know if you could connect to more than one listening 
viewer.  You've to try it.

        Be aware since the server has to serve several clients at the same time, the 
responsiveness might be reduced.
