We have 2 workstations - IP Address 192.168.0.133 and ...134 - running RealVNC server which require to be remotely managed. They connect to the Internet via a Netgear DG834 DSL hub/router/firewall. This also acts as a DHCP server for NAT.
On the DG834, I have created two custom services - VNC1 port 5901 and VNC2 port 5902 - type TCP/UDP directed to IP's 192.168.0.133 and 192.168.0.134 respectively. I have also followed the FAQ ( http://www.realvnc.com/faq.html#firewall ) for the VNC server setup. The problem is when I try to connect remotely to 62.xxx.xxx.xxx:port from the internet I am unable to access either pc. I get 'failed to connect to server'. Have I missed something, or are there special considerations regarding this type of router? Any help would be greatly appreciated. ---------------------------------------------------- This message has been checked for all known viruses.
