Hi. Sorry if this is known; I was unable to find a solution in the archives. (I found people with the same problem, but no replies ;)
I have a regular VNC installation on win2Ksp4, and it works fine and all, except that each time the machine is rebooted, I can't connect via VNC until someone logs into the machine *and* stop/starts the VNC service. From then on I can connect fine, with no difference in settings on the server or viewer side. Has anyone seen this problem? Another user in the archives seemed to think this might have to do with firewalls. I don't know why it would, but my setup is similar to his - a cable modem that acts as a firewall that's set up to forward ports 5800/5900 to the machine in question. Would that impact this issue? I hope someone has some insight on this... VNC would be so much more useful if I could reboot the machine *and* get back in afterwards! ;) thanks, andy _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
