Hello, Well, I've got it working - so no problems on that front. The Server is on an XP Home system which I'm connecting to from a Win 98SE machine. Both systems are connected via DSL. My question is...what sort of frame rate should I be expecting - I know this may sound a little naive, but with all the bandwidth available to both machines, NVC doesn't seem to be using much of it - for example if I close or open a window, NVC seems to do it in a series of stages rather than the window just appearing or disappearing. The same with the start menu. So there's a degree of sluggishness. Is this normal behaviour between two DSL connections or is the app. being restricted in some way. I've installed NVC as a service on the XP machine, and this does improve performance. Fast user switching and the inbuilt remote admin feature are both disabled. It's usable, but can get a little sluggish. Also I can't find the registry key to change the advanced settings (NVCHooks) mentioned in the online help. The key doesn't appear to exist on either system.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated Chris Sherwood _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
