the general rule of thumb is to drop the windows firewall, and get any of
the perfectly good, and much better than the windows, free firewalls.
sygate and tiny personal firewall both come to mind.

generally "windows" and "security" aren't words one uses in the same
sentance

Subject: VNC and the WinXPsp2 firewall

I am debating how to set up the restrictions and exceptions in the upcoming
XP sp2 firewall. Thus far I have not been able to make it work properly
with rc2 build 2149. Has anyone else tried it out?

Cheers,

Shaun
