JB I guess you just need to restart the services. I had the same thing on all systems where I updated to version 4.

I just uninstalled VNC3.3.7 and migrated to VNC4. It just does not work. I have windows XP SP2. No firewall. I have a router and it is all setup properly to accept connections. Everything was working great with 3.3.7. When I try to connect externally via a VNC Viewer, the viewer immediatly closes after I click OK and never returns. I checked the Task Manager and it seems to disapear after I click OK. I tried connecting via a java enabled browser, it immediatly displays a page not found. I am using the proper port in all situations. After all, it was working fine with 3.3.7. I have disabled Remote Desktop and Fast User Switching in windows XP (and rebooted) and still does not work. I have Access Control in VNC4 all empty - thinking that will allow access from all IP addresses. (Is that correct?, if not, how can I allow full access) I just want it open to all IPs. It just seems that the VNC4 server is not responding back to requests although the server is running and I am able to see it in Services. One more thing, I was only able to access it from my own machine. I was was not even able to access it from the LAN where the router is not in the picture and all the ports are open... Something is wrong and I need help... could it be a bug? Thanks JB --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Read only the mail you want - Yahoo!
