I am aware of the line "... version mismatch ...", but can that be the reason for the behaviour.
Yes. There is no RFB protocol version 3.130 - it has been invented by someone without any communication with the maintainers of VNC and the RFB protocol.
You should stick to using proper VNC on both ends instead of some hacked version which is incompatible.
