I have read a ton of messages trying to figure this out...I am almost out

Answer 1) Read the Manual, Luke... Seriously, there should be a "port

That's where you go to set up the port forwarding. Which Linksys router do
you have? It's been awhile since I got into my router last, but I recall it
wasn't that difficult to get into...
Q 2) I signed up for a no-ip domain...they sayits working properly, but
just how am I supposed to use this? Can I just enter it into my browser
address line? If so, I had no luck? Must the router still be forwarded
before this will work?
A2) Yes. You will need to do that. You can use no-ip and VNC as follows: In
the VNC Viewer window you'd type "mypc.no-ip.com" (or whatever your machine
name is with NO-IP.) If you want to use the browser, you'll put that as the
web address.

Q 3) questions: Do I still use the VNC Viewer to use the internet method?
Or do I just use the web browser to gain access?
A 3) Either. Although VNC Viewer tunneled via ssh or ssl is still the
"safest" method.
Q 4) What do I enter into the Viewer prompt? What do I enter into the web
browser address line...is it one or the other or do you use both at the same
time? I have learned a lot about the mechanics behind this stuff but not
much practical tips on what to enter where?

Again, as for setting up the port forwarding in the router, you'll have to
read the manual for the router to figure out how to do that. And with PC
Anywhere, you'll still have the same problem of having to do
port-forwarding, so PC Anywhere is not going to be a "walk in the park"
either.
