You have two options and both involve router configuration (there is
also a third, but that involves a third party)

option 1 -- forward Port 5500 on YOUR router to a single machine
inside your network then have your customer run vnc server click on
the icon and choose add client. in the box they type in YOUR public
IP.

option 2 -- forward port 5900 on THEIR router to the machine you want
to control. Then from your site connect to their computer using THEIR
public IP.

Option 1 will work much better since, It is probabbly easier to change
your router than theirs.

Option 3?
   Offerring remote support to many users in differnt locations using
many (or one) internal machine)
This one is a little trickier:
1. on the router set up port forwarding for as many clients as you
want to support according to the following
     5501-->IP1:5501
     5502-->IP1:5502
     5503-->IP2:5500
    etc.

2. on each CLIENT machine (thoose that are Controlling) create
shortcuts to listening viewers (giving them port numbers like so
vncviewer.exe -listen XXXX
     where XXXX represents a port number to listen on.

3. when some one wants support, have them run the server click on the
tray icon and choose add new client.

4. at the add new client dialog have them type in YOUR IP
ADDRESS:XXXX where xxxx is the port number.

this one is a little confusing but i hope this example makes sense.

Good Luck,
